COPA for Kids Sept 28 in Victoria - Volunteers Needed
From Bill McAllister...
Perry and I met with Henry (Chief Pilot and Organizer), Bruce (Webmaster) and Ruth (Registration) today at VFC. They were kind enough to fly over from ZBB to meet us. They have run the C4K at Delta and/or ZBB for years. No. 2 in the country, well organized. Please contact Bill at whmcallister@hotmail.com if you'd like to volunteer.
We learned a lot. We look forward to volunteering for their event at ZBB May 25.
We are grafting the COPA5 C4K web site landing page and sign-up page to our own for COPA6.. First priority is a webmaster...not new code, just an import and mod, then minor maintenance...urgent. Predecessor to marketing collateral and cold contacts.
Here is what we might need for 200 kids:
9 more pilots (total 12)These numbers may look fat but are based on the most optimistic sign up and the usual contingencies.
1 pilot on ground Flight Manager
2 Registration
2 head Marshall (aircraft movements/ramp safety) one am - one pm
4-12 kid-Marshall (kids from reg to planes) (one per plane) may well need less when we determine the groundschool to ramp logistics
1 good photographer
1 greeter/crowd flow control/walk-ins/tantrum dissipater
2 marketing (now to Sept)
1 facilities
1 Groundschool (backup or assist)
Thanks for your input,
Bill

Information Sessions at COPA 5 Boundary Bay Flying Club
From Jim Niessen, President, COPA 5 Boundary Bay Flying Club
Hello All
It’s that time of year again where flying sometimes has to take a back seat to the weather. I don’t know about you but I am not getting as much flying activity as I would like. For that reason COPA flight 5 Boundary Bay Flying club has setup four Safety Seminars.
